The state of Maharashtra has been prospering but the state of its rural health care, as per a recent article in The Hindu, is “apathetic” because of the “shortage of doctors, staff and equipment”. Kankavli, a town in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg district, had been facing a similar problem since decades.  It is to address this issue that Dr. Anant R. Nagvekar (MD  OBGY) and  Dr. Kirti A.Nagvekar (DGO, DA) founded the Nagvekar Hospitals in the year 1986.

Over the years, Nagvekar Hospitals has been a pioneer in providing affordable and high-quality health care. Nagvekar Hospitals has been the first to establish an IVF centre in the district. Till date, it is the ONLY IVF Centre in the district.
It is also the first and the only hospital to provide ATLS ambulance, have an fully-equipped trauma care unit. Full-fledged endoscopy unit with interventional endoscopy and MRI centre.

In 2019, we have started a branch of “Vardaan IVF” in Thane, at our Nagvekar Hospital, Thane.
